Juan OG Perez was celebrating his 50th birthday over president’s weekend. A group of his close friends which include the Hip-hop icon Jay Z joined him in celebrating his 50th. His birthday celebrations included a lavish dinner that cost $13k and $9k for drinks. The small group of friends are also said to have spent $91k in the club. According to Page Six, the celebrations started Midtown where they had dinner at the internationally acclaimed modern Japanese restaurant, Zuma. Zuma is known to be Jay Z and his wife’s favorite restaurant. For the $13k they spent they enjoyed an opulent spread of steak, lobster and sushi.
After they were done with dinner, they went to Made in Mexico which doubles as both a restaurant and a night club. It is also said to be the hot spot in Inwood. In Made in Mexico they spent $9000 in liquor. They mostly had D’USSE which is a Cognac. After the drinks they made their way to Playroom Nightclub where the party went on until morning. It is Playroom Nightclub that Juan OG Perez and his friends spent $91,000. They enjoyed 20 bottles of Ace of Spades Gold Champagne and also enjoyed another 20 bottles of Ace of Spades Rose. The 40 bottles all totaled up to $74k and tax totaling up to $6,035 not to forget the gratuity that was $11,100.
When the story broke on twitter people were questioning how 40 bottles could be split among just four friends. Some claimed affluent waste and others came up with conspiracy theories. However, it was clarified that the group mingled with others in the club and they could hand out bottles to other tables all through the night. Well all the parting did in fact have an impact on Jay because they were drinking D’USSE which is a Cognac that Jay serves as a partial owner in the company. They also drunk Ace of Spades which is a brand Jay purchased back in 2014. Some claim that the infamous birthday tab offered free advertising for Jay’s brands while indirectly lining Jay Z’s pockets.
